Funky Monkey Pops


Day seven of our twelve days of summer kickoff are these really fun Funky Monkey pops! The natural sugars in the banana freeze to a creaminess much like icecream making these yummy treats seem much more decadent than they actually are!

Super simple to make: Take a ripe banana, peel it and cut it in half.  Skewer each half with a popsicle stick and dip the banana into melted dark chocolate, place on a baking sheet with parchment paper and decorate each banana pop with your favourite sundae toppers (like sprinkles, toasted coconut, toasted chopped nuts, skor bits, chopped smarties or m&m’s, chopped cookies or any other funky topping you desire!). Freeze until the banana is solid and the chocolate has hardened. Store in a ziplock bag and enjoy these semi-healthy treats whenever a sweet, cold craving hits!
